Kendra Black: Tough and Beautiful. The DNA of the new Pop Diva.
Pop diva Kendra Black. Based in NYC but originally from Sicily, her 5-track debut EP The Edge (with focus track Rude ft. Snoop Dogg) will be released on December the 1st. But before that, she already dropped her first video for another track, “Air Pack Jet,” which you can watch at the link below!

Born and bred in Italy, Black grew up studying music as well as acting and ballet. She trained and performed with teachers from the Music Conservatory of Cannes (France) and The Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. After graduating from the Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington DC in 2012, Black relocated to New York City to put together her team of producers and band members. She collaborated on song co-writes with Bravo’s Platinum Hit finalist Nick Nittoli and Award-Winning singer/producer Lachi, and teamed up with the producers at Trend Def Studios in Los Angeles. The resulting product is Black’s new five-track EP, The Edge, which she plans to release on March 10th this year.
Black has performed on stages in France, Monte-Carlo, Italy, Egypt, the Caribbean, and the US. Her most recent performance was headlining at Webster Hall Studio in NYC, hosted by Hot 97’s Laura Stylez. The Hot Zone USA described Black as “an up-and-comer to watch for,” while AXS called her live performance “smoldering” and her voice “intoxicatingly sweet.”
“I left home when I was 12 to,” told us, Kendra, “pursue my dreams of becoming an artist. I traveled to Cannes, France, for a successful audition at the Rosella Hightower Ballet School. Ever since, I’ve been living on my own. After two years studying ballet and music in Cannes, I spent a year in Montecarlo at the Princesse Grace Academy.
I moved to the United States in 2010 and graduated from the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC. That led me to New York City, where I focused more on developing my music. In 2014 I auditioned for a reality show. I met my current co-writer, producer, and friend, Lachi, a great vocalist and songwriter with whom I collaborated countless times and produced my latest album ‘The Edge.’ I recorded the album with Mike Gonsolin and Nick Nittoli at Trend Def Studios in Los Angeles and had the pleasure of featuring Snoop Dogg on my track ‘Rude’! Along with recording, I’ve been performing at numerous venues internationally. Here in New York, I’ve played the renowned Highline Ballroom and the Lower East Side’s Webster Hall!”
Recently, Kendra has also launched her sportswear collection “KB,” a line of products that combines the love for style typical of Italians and the comfort and flexibility of American cutting-edge technology about elastic fabrics.
